Many people approach me asking what they should eat and where to start off. The fact that you may ask me that question shows that you are already heading in the right direction.
The 80/20 rule is commonly used in Management and Consulting circles and I specifically like to use it in my coaching practice.
The basic assumption in the 80/20 principle is that in most cases 20% of your activities create 80% of the results. Now this method can be applied in a wide variety of different contexts. Chances are that when you really look at your work day that you probably get down more than 80% of your workload in less than 20% of the time of your total work day. Maybe you are specifially productive from 9 am to 10:30 am and the rest of the day you find that you are rather unproductive.
So how can we use this principle in weightloss?
